It all began with a pandemic shutdown road trip fantasy during our first couple of weeks of dating. We'd both wanted to see Spiral Jetty and liked the idea of an 'out west' road trip... but during a pandemic, that didn't seem realistic. However come late June we went for it, renting a van in Denver, venturing to National Parks like Canyonlands and Arches, the Wasatch outside Salt Lake City, then into the Salt Flats, Spiral Jetty, Sun Tunnels, then heading north into Idaho to visit Paul's Aunt Patty and Uncle Joe in the Grand Tetons, then Yellowstone, before driving back across the high plains in Wyoming.
